Life thrives in wetlands- An Event

Celebrate World Wetlands Day with Wetlands International South Asia where the keynote lecture shall be delivered by Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha former minister of environment, forests and climate change.

Focussing on the theme of ‘Wetlands and Biodiversity’, the event seeks to highlight the role wetlands play in supporting myriad forms of biodiversity thereby contributing to food, water and livelihood security. The event will feature Key note address, and Panel discussion with eminent speakers bringing to fore the significance of healthy wetlands for conserving biodiversity. For promoting awareness and knowledge dissemination, posters and special edition of organization’s newsletter Sarovar will be released. As every year, the event will see participation from representatives of Government institutions, academia, civil society, private sector, media and experts.
