About the position

Arghyam is seeking a dynamic and passionate Officer - Programs who will actively engage with various stakeholders in the water ecosystem to address the pressing water quality issues in the country. This individual will collaborate closely with a diverse group including government functionaries, civil society organizations, water experts, institutions and market players to identify pivotal issues and build a collective ecosystem response to solve the issues.

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

Stakeholder Management

: Skills in managing and collaborating with diverse
stakeholders.
●

Subject Matter Expertise

: Knowledge and experience in water quality, related
schemes/policies and programs is preferred.
●

Communication Skills

: Strong systems thinking and negotiation skills, facilitation and
presentation skills, public speaking, and storytelling abilities.
●

Adaptability

: Ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty while managing diverse workloads.
●

Time Management

: Capability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize
multiple tasks effectively.
●

Technology

: Understanding of basic digital technology and an ability to learn & help
deployment of technology solutions in programs.

Qualifications

●

Experience

: 2-5 years of experience in building partnerships, with a significant portion of this
experience in the not-for-profit sector.
●

Education

: A Master's degree or equivalent in management studies, environmental science,
water management or other related field.
●

Water Sector

: Familiarity with the water sector is an advantageous asset, but a passion for
addressing water security issues is paramount.
