Umiam lake conservation – stakeholder dialogue & future strategies was held on 9th & 10th March 2009, in Shillong. People's learning centre (PLC), Shillong were the organizers of the event, the event was supported by Arghyam, Bangalore.
Collated version of the presentations will be prepared and made available on the public domain in local languages. It will spell out what individuals and institutions can do to conserve Umiam Lake.
